Questions

Questions about pricing

Why do you charge for an estimate when other shops do not?

Because a real estimate on an RV takes teardown and measurement time, not a walk around with a clipboard. The $150 covers that work and it comes straight off your invoice if you authorize the repair. Shops that write no-cost estimates are either guessing or building the cost into the job.

Why is nothing priced under $500?

Setup, materials, documentation and bay time cost roughly that much before any productive work happens. Pricing below the floor would mean either padding invoices elsewhere or doing the job badly. If your repair is genuinely smaller than $500 we will say so rather than take it.

Will my insurance pay your posted rates?

Insurance billed work may run at carrier negotiated rates that differ from the posted retail rates. That difference is between us and the carrier, not something you make up out of pocket, provided the repair is covered and properly documented.

What deposit do you require?

Fifty percent at authorization on any job over $2,000, and an additional twenty five percent when parts arrive on any job over $10,000. Final balance is due at pickup. Special order parts require a full non refundable deposit at order because they cannot be returned.

Is there a card surcharge?

A 3.5 percent surcharge applies to card payments over $1,000. It is a direct pass through of merchant fees on high ticket work, not a markup.

Want a real number for your vehicle?

Send photos and the details. The written estimate is $150 and it comes off the invoice when you authorize the work.
